The second edition of A Game of Thrones: The Card Game is a Living Card Game of deadly battles, cunning intrigues, and the struggle for power. In the game, two to six players take command of the factions of Westeros and fight to claim the Iron Throne, using the iconic characters of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire.

Use iconic characters to engage in military battles, struggles for power, and the intrigues of court.

A crucial part of winning the game of thrones is plotting your next move. In A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, each player has a plot deck consisting of seven carefully chosen cards. At the beginning of each round, every player looks through his available plot cards and selects one plot to use that round.

Plot cards provide the gold you use to play cards, decide initiative for the round, determine how powerful your attacks are, and provide powerful effects that can last throughout the round. You may launch a devastating wildfire assault and kill multiple characters, or you may plead a noble cause and bring the lords and ladies of your faction into play. By switching the plots that you use in your plot deck, you can make your main deck function very differently and choosing the right plot for the situation is crucial to claiming victory.

Eight unique factions are available for players to enjoy and each boasts a different playstyle. You may even ally two factions together in a single deck to unite their strengths.

The game of thrones is played out on the battlefields of Westeros and in whispered conversations at court, in secret alliances and bold ultimatums. In this LCG, you’ll attack your opponent with three types of challenges: military, intrigue, and power. Each of these challenges has different effects, allowing you to attack your opponents on multiple fronts and punish them in different ways.
